Parametric objects will also have properties such as Length and Width, and will recalculate their Shape on-the-fly, whenever one of the properties changes. WebbFreecad is not an STL editor. It can use the whole STL part as a single unit, but that's it. Really, you don't want to be editing STL anyway. Go back to the source. Editing STL is a bit like editing a PDF.
